New to me sewing machine!
P.S. Check out all this fibery goodness!
I had a big shopping day. First of all I won an auction on that other website (not Etsy) for a great laptop. Then, when we found this machine at the thrift store for $40, I just couldn't pass it up. It's a Singer 9612 machine that appears to have been made in 1985. It had the original instruction manual and also all the original attachments and parts and works perfectly. This afternoon, I sat out on the porch and sewed up some Christmas stockings. Now that I have a bread machine and a sewing machine, I think I could stay here!
Today was day 39 of my 365 days of crafting. In addition to working on the new stockings (from felted thrift store sweaters), I put the finishing touches on the two items below, blocking the card case and putting the button on the neck warmer. This is the first cabled neck warmer I made earlier this week. I also figured out how to make a zippered pocket in my felted Retro bag that I hope to have finished by the end of the week though I may have to wait until I get home to find the right button for it.
Have you noticed the little visitor counter I have on the right side of my blog . It's been great fun to watch the # of visitors and countries since I added it one week ago. I noticed it's up to 341 visitors and 21 countries. Isn't the Internet amazing?
My snow folk treasury is still on Etsy, and I also found I had items in two other treasuries:
