Something Old, Something New

I decided to dabble in scrapbook making, making this memory book for my grand daughter. It chronicles the visits I made to see her over the first 22 months of her life and the hand knitting and sewn creations I've given her. Fortunately, my daughter came by and gave me advice on ways I could embellish it.

This morning, we had an old tried and true recipe, Bacon, Avocado, and Cheese omelet. This recipe is the one remnant from our Atkins Diet days. I usually make it with cheddar cheese rather than the jack cheese in the recipe and omit the jalapenos. There's a comfort in an old favorite and it's fun to stretch by trying something new.
