New Year's Lesson--Take that Second Chance

"I don't know if I want anybody to walk away from the movie thinking about me specifically," Morris said. "I do want them to walk away asking themselves, 'Well, if I get a second opportunity at something, I should walk through that door.'"
- Jimmy Morris

We spent New Year's Eve in favorite fashion, no parties or evening out...we stayed home, shared a large bottle of champagne and watched two movies...we were so entranced by our movies that we actually missed the stroke of midnight.

The first movie was an old favorite, When Harry Met Sally, and the second one was a Netflix instant download, the Rookie, a feel good movie with Dennis Quaid as a high school teacher turned pro baseball player. it was based on the true story of Jimmy Miller. Baseball happened to be the dream that he pursued at age 35, but the movie's message was about going after your dreams, whatever they are.

Seems like a very apt message for New Year's.

Rookie is a great movie! My husband loves movies and baseball. I agree with you, "follow your dreams" is a great admonition for 2010!
