I've been thinking about making something like this for quite a while. A Flickr contact posted a photo of a gorgeous bag with embroidery that made me decide to go ahead. I think this may be the last product I can eke out of my orange sweater. Here are some other views. I didn't use a pattern, so it was trial and error, for instance I decided after I had it all sewn together that it needed a loop. I like this so much I just may have to keep it or give it as a gift.



I still want to learn some more embroidery stitches. I tried split stem stitch for the embroidery in the upper left.
